Chittoor is a small town in the southern most district of Andhra Pradesh,India.It is the headquarters of Chittoor district.Its proximity to Tamilnadu and karanataka makes it a gateway town for the travelers/Pilgrims entering Andhra.Due to this it placed well in both Road and Rail map,connecting the town to the rest of the country.
The area of the town is 33.57 Sq.Kms and the population as per 2001 census is 1,52,654.Chittoor is rich in granite deposits and is dotted with numerous granite industries.
